Bobby Jindal is joining the surging post-Iowa Marco Rubio bandwagon.
The former Louisiana governor, who abandoned his own presidential bid in November after failing to gain any traction in the crowded Republican primary, told Fox News on Friday that he is endorsing the Florida senator, who finished a strong third in the Iowa Caucus last Monday.
“Marco can unify our party. His optimistic message is bringing voters from across the party lines, from across different demographic groups,” the Indian American politician told Fox. “I think he’s a principled conservative. I think he’s the right guy.”

After Iowa, Rubio has won endorsements from a number of influential Republican leaders. Another presidential candidate, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, endorsed Rubio on Wednesday.
The 44-year-old Jindal’s eight-year term as the governor of Louisiana ended last Month.
