Actor Abhishek, who has a history of getting trolled on social media, once again came under the attack of twitterati.
This time he was called the least known celebrity and the trend continued even for two days after the conclusion of the cricket match between India and Pakistan, on Saturday.
The actor was seen with his father Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Mukesh Ambani watching India-Pakistan T20 cricket match. Amitabh and Abhishek were also honored at the ground before the match began.
Both of them had flown from Dubai to Kolkata after attending the TOIFA awards.
Amitabh was the leading singer of India’s national anthem at the match ceremonies.
It all started when a twitter user with handle EngiNerd posted a mocking comment about Abhishek on Sunday.
“Big B paid for Aftab Shivdasani’s ticket so that Abhishek Bachchan isn’t the least-known celebrity in the stadium,” he wrote.
Soon the actor came up with a fitting reply as he always does. “Least known celebrity”? Isn’t that a bit of a contradiction? Chalo, at least, you think I’m worthy of a tweet,” he replied.
Soon it became a battle with users split into two groups, one in support of Abhishek and the other trolling him.
Last October, Abhishek had a battle of words with standup comic Karan Talwar on twitter which ended up in Talwar getting criticized and called a cheap person.
