The much-awaited sequels of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ and Shankar’s ‘Enthiran’ are likely to release on the same date, reported The New Indian Express.
According to the report, both the films are slated to release on April 17, 2017. If the report is to be believed, it is going to be a one of the biggest moments of Indian cinema history.
Earlier, the makers of Baahubali had officially announced that the film would be released on April 17, 2017. It was expected that 2.O, the second installment of the Rajinikanth starrer Enthiran franchise would also be released on the same date, which is the date of Tamil New Year.
The report quoted a source close to 2.O saying, “Why not? The mother language of Baahubali is Telugu while Robot is in Tamil. The clash will not be headlong. And it’s a long weekend, beginning 14 April. Long enough to accommodate two big films.”
But analysts are of the view that it is a rumor and both the films are not going to release on the same day.
It is a common belief among the fans of Rajinikanth that Shankar is all set to make a spectacular movie that could break the record of Baahubali, which is the highest grossing Indian film so far.
However, the release date of 2.O is yet to be officially announced by the filmmakers.
