The macho hero of Bollywood appears in the trailer as a wrestler, ready for a fistfight with his opponent. The movie which created buzz among the Salman fans after the release of the first poster is once again making its way to headlines with the launch of the trailer.
The teaser begins with a one-liner that reads “Wrestling is not a sport, it is about fighting what lies within”.
The opening scene of the trailer has the commentator announcing the name of Sultan Ali Khan of Haryana, played by Salman. An open field is ready for the ‘akhada’ (wrestling) and Salman appears in the trailer for the first time to the loud applause of the onlookers.
The clean beard and cut moustache of Salman make him look like a real-life wrestler. He tweeted, “Aur yeh raha teaser #SultanTeaser,” along with the teaser.
In the meanwhile, the official twitter handle of the movie says “Every sport has a legend. Wrestling has SULTAN.”
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, ‘Sultan’ has Anushka Sharma starring opposite Salman. Randeep Hooda appears in the movie as Sultan’s coach and Amit Sadh as Sultan’s brother.
The movie is expected to release on July 2016 as EID release along with Raees, which means the two Khans of Bollywood – Salman and Shah Rukh will clash this festival season.
But despite the looming box-office war with Salman this Eid, Shah Rukh Khan tweeted “Kya baat hai… Haryana ka Sher aa gaya… Sultan Bhaijaan.”
