The life of Sachin Tendulkar beyond 22 yards for 24 years is now becoming a biopic and the trailer of the movie “Sachin – A Billion Dreams”, featuring the little master himself, was released on Thursday.
The trailer of the movie, directed by Emmy-award-nominated director James Erskine, is a tribute to the achievements by Sachin, who is often called the god of cricket.
The trailer takes a look back at the journey of the little master from his childhood, which was largely influenced by his father. It also shows the naughty childhood of a man who later becomes the greatest batsman the game has ever produced.
The trailer ends with the signature chanting of his fans “Sachin, Sachin” inside a stadium.
‘Sachin – A Billion Dreams’ is produced by a Mumbai-based production company called 200NotOut. The songs are composed by Oscar-winning music director A R Rahman.
Sachin has played 200 Tests and has scored 100 centuries across all three formats of the game. He retired in 2013 after scoring a record 34,357 runs in 664 international matches.
The government of India awarded Sachin Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award. He is currently a sitting Rajya Sabha MP.
As of now it is not clear when the movie will hit theaters.
