The lighter side of the controversial Art of Living founder.
By Sreekanth A. Nair
The Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been under criticism for many reasons recently.
Last month, Art of Living Foundation was slapped with a fine of $735294 for polluting the surroundings of The Yamuna River during the three-day cultural festival organized by the organization. The foundation, however, decided not to pay the fine and appealed against the decision of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
On Tuesday, he again drew criticism for making comments about Malala Yousafzai winning Nobel Prize. He said that Malala hadn’t done anything enough to win a Nobel Prize.
But there’s a lighter side to Ravi Shankar, as can be seen in a video posted on YouTube, where he is seen dancing (in his own style) to the tune of the song ‘Jiya dhadak dhadk jaye’ from the 2001 film ‘Kalyug’. The video was posted in 2012.
In the video, Ravi Shankar is making moves expressing the meaning of the lyrics of the song while throwing flowers at the audience, in a flamboyant way. The audience is heard and seen appreciating the dance with repeated applause.
Ravi Shankar had an awkward experience with Bollywood in 2012 when a satirical character in the film ‘Oh My God,’ was based on him.

What’s wrong in this Dance? He is NOT cutting heads like ISIS or raping girls like your Popes.. Shame on American bazaar Online website for giving such headlines.
Mr. Nair, who is most probably a mallu commie (my right guess, being from Kerala). Thank you for showing this, as we all know he is making his followers celebrating each and every moment. Though your intention is understood, please come out of the well and see what AOL does. Might bring some sense to you, Mr. commie :).
