Bengaluru: A Bengaluru woman allegedly slashed her techie husband’s fingers with a kitchen knife for checking her mobile phone.
The incident took place at Kaikondanahalli near HSR Layout on 4 May.
The couple identified as Sunitha Singh and Chandraprakash Singh, is reportedly from Bihar and has been married for the last seven years. Both have lodged complaints against each other but the incident came to light recently when the victim filed a complaint with the police, seeking protection from his wife.
Chandraprakash accused his wife of being extremely addicted to her mobile phone and police have summoned their parents to intervene and help sort out their differnces.
“There are severe injury marks on Chandraprakash’s right hand fingers. We have registered a case and a probe is on. Both husband and wife have lodged complaints against each other and we are questioning them about the incident.” A Bengaluru police official said to India Today.
“This is a domestic case. They are free to pursue cases against each other. We have summoned their parents to ascertain whether this dispute can be resolved amicably,” the police added
Sunitha and Chandraprakash have been married for seven years and they relocated to Bengaluru three years ago. Recently, Sunitha quit her IT job and was on a break at home.
