With a twist to highlight corruption in Punjab.

The Aam Admi Party (AAP) is known for its uncommon way of political propagation that has helped it win the Delhi assembly election in 2015.
The party is now aiming to gain a political momentum in upcoming Punjab state assembly election through songs to woo voters.
In a recent video posted on the Facebook page of the AAP, the party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is seen singing an old Hindi song, ‘Aa Chal Ke Tujhe Main Leke Chaloon’ – from the 1964 film ‘Door Gagan Ki Chaon Mein’ sung by Kishore Kumar. But the lyrics have changed to denote the corruption in Punjab.
The lyrics go like this: “Jahan chor bhi na ho, jahan bhrasht be na ho, bas AAP ka raj chale,†(…under one such sky, where there are no thieves, where there is no corrupt, only you rule the land!).
Earlier, the singer turned politician of the party, Kumar Vishwas had released a video “Ek Nasha: Nashe ke Khilaf†in which he sang about the drug abuse in Punjab.
The video titled ‘Arvind Kejriwal sings for Punjabis’ was viewed by more than 147000 people and got more than 3800 likes.
Arvind Kejriwal had sung many songs on several occasions before. After swearing in as the Chief Minister of Delhi, he sang another old Hindi song ‘Paigham.’ He had sung the song again in 2015 after taking over as the Delhi Chief Minister for the second term.
During his anti-corruption movement, Kejriwal had sung a poem by Dushyant Kumar titled ‘Ho Gayi Hai Peer Parvat.’
It is yet to be seen whether the people of Punjab are impressed with Kejriwal’s singing. Punjab goes elections in 2017.
