India’s opening batsman and the captain of the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma, has bought a five BHK bungalow in Khandala, Maharashtra, reported Mid-Day.
A source within the real estate industry was quoted by Mid-Day saying that the cricketer bought the bungalow some time back from Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s company S2 realty, which has a 21 residential projects in Khandala by the name ‘Discovery’.
The skipper of Mumbai Indians reportedly spent 5 Cr. on his new bungalow which is said to be 7,500 square feet with a total plot area of 10,000 square feet that includes a lawn and a swimming pool.
A source was quoted by Mid-Day saying “It is said that the initial demand for the villa was somewhere close to Rs 8 crore, which was brought down to Rs 5 crore post negotiations.”
It was reported last August that Sharma had bought a flat on the 29th floor of Ahuja Towers in Prabhadevi for a whopping Rs 30 crore.
