Practichem, a Raleigh-based manufacturer of scientific instrumentation for pharmaceutical research laboratories, has announced a flamboyant offer for its employees: the latest model of Tesla car.
“Practichem full-time employees qualify for a new Tesla Model 3 lease, paid and managed by the company,” said Practichem.
According to the company, by offering a new Tesla Model 3 car, they aim to reward their employees who have performed well with limited resources.
“My team has done more with our few people … than our competitors who have been entrenched forever and therefore deserve to be rewarded, “ founder and CEO of Practichem Nick DeMarco, was quoted as saying by News Observer. “It doesn’t hurt to get publicity when we’re trying to hire more people,” he added.
The company that has 16 employees now is looking for 10 more.
With a starting price of $35,000, Tesla Model 3 is expected to start selling in 2017. It already has 373,000 pre-orders until May 15 and is planning to sell $1.4 million units.
“Our vision shares similarities with Tesla Motors; both companies positively impact humanity with real change,” DeMarco said in a statement.
“People driven to solve big issues share core values. Many of our employees have marveled at Tesla’s approach. Their compelling all-electric vehicles drive us to make real change in our field,” he added.
Biotech instrumentation firm Practichem advances research by developing next generation lab tools. Their flagship, Arista Slice, efficiently purifies proteins using chromatographic techniques, saving researchers’ three-quarters space and includes the industry’s first browser controlled interface.
