The makers of the upcoming Marathi movie ‘Ek Albela’ that marks actress Vidya Balan’s debut in the language, have released the first song of the film, ‘Shola Jo Bhadke’.
Balan’s graceful movements have given the song ‘Shola Jo Bhadke’ a peppy mood and Balan along with her co-actor actor Mangesh Desai have done justice to the original version of the song.
Balan plays the role of actress Geeta Bali in the movie directed by Shekhar Sartandel. The film is a biopic of the legendary actor Bhagwan Dada. Balan and Desai play the lead roles in the film, reported DNA.
“I have been a huge fan of Geeta Bali… She played with her eyes, fingers, hands, and wrist beautifully. Her songs have more to do with her expressions and smile. I tried to use her nuances and I hope I am successful,” Vidya Balan was quoted as saying by IANS.
In an interview with The Times of India, the ‘Dirty Picture’ actress said that she had to watch the old song many times to learn the expressions right.
“I don’t really look like Geeta Bali. Of course, the make-up, hair, and costumes made me look like her physically but getting the emotion right was something that we had to do on our own,” she told The Times of India.
The movie is slated to release later this month.
