Two Indian-origin youths, including one student, drowned in to separate incidents in the US.
According to the information that reached their families, Namboori Sridatta, 25, from Telangana and P Naresh, 24,from Andhra Pradesh, were drowned while picnicking on Sunday.
Sridatta, who was working with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Arizona, slipped and fell into water while on a picnic with friends at a waterfall and his body was recovered by rescue workers. His family received the information late on Monday and they appealed to the Indian government to ensure that the body is brought back to the country quickly.
Sridatta had gone to the United States five years ago and after his education at Arizona University, got a job at TCS.
“He was to come home next month but yesterday we got this shocking news,” Sridatta’s father NVM Swamy told to the media.
P Naresh, a student in California, was on a picnic with his friends on a boat when he slipped and fell into the water. The body was found by the local police after a search operation.
Naresh, son of a poor farmer, was a second year MS student.
Naresh’s family has also urged the Indian government to make necessary arrangements to bring back the body.
