Car built by a group of 30 students.

If car manufacturers such as Tesla or Mustang take pride in building superfast machines, it’s time they look at a team of 30 students who have built the fastest-accelerating electric car ever called “Grimsel”.
According to a video published by Academic Motorsports Club Zurich (AMZ), the new electric car “Grimsel can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hours in 1.513 seconds. The video shows the car accelerating on a runway at Dübendorf Air Base in Switzerland.
AMZ description of the video reads: “The electric racecar «grimsel» has set a new world record for acceleration of an electric car today. The vehicle accelerated from zero to 60 in 1.513 seconds and reached 60 mph within a distance of 100 feet.”
The Verge reported that the speed and acceleration attained by the student model is half a second faster than the world’s top super cars including the models of Tesla that sports “Ludicrous Speed” mode.
The website also reported that the “Grimsel” outperformed the Zombie 222 electric Mustang.
Grimsel is made mostly of carbon fiber, uses the four-wheel drive and has an onboard computer that gives more control to the wheel.
The fastest electric car is the handy work of students from two universities: ETH Zurich and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
The electric car was made for a competition purpose called Formula Student in which AMZ club has won thrice. Usually, the team that wins the competition goes on to register a record as these cars are aimed at breaking existing records in accelerating.
Formula Student or Formula SAE is a competition for engineering students held annually in the UK where student teams from around the world design, build, test, and race. The cars are judged by industry specialists based on static events such as Engineering Design, Cost & Sustainability Analysis, Business Presentation and Technical Inspection, and Dynamic Events like Skidpad, Autocross/Sprint, acceleration, and endurance.
