It seems Bollywood is impressed with Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Shekhar Kapur’s daughter Kaveri’s first single ‘Did Ýou Know’ that was released on Friday.
Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, and Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to congratulate the young singer whose first single is going viral on social media.
Shahrukh Khan expressed his excitement in a series of tweets. “How our babies have grown ya. Am I right you debuted with me??? This is special. Bless her,” he wrote.
On another tweet, he said, “How proud is this Papa. She is beautiful Masha Allah.” “Awesome,” Khan’s another tweet read.
“What a gorgeous voice!!!!! @shekharkapur @suchitrak …you must be so proud!! You go, girl!! #Kaveri,” Karan Johar reacted on Twitter.
The 15-year-old Kaveri wrote, composed and sang the song of her first music video. Her first attempt was at 11 when she recorded her first single. ‘Did Ýou Know’ is her first work to have released. Trained in both Hindustani classical music and Western vocal, Kaveri developed musical talents at the age of six.
Praising the song, actor Hrithik Roshan tweeted, “Woah!!!! Straight thru d heart. All heart. This is love. Amazing. How beautiful is she:)) big hug!!.”
“It’s a beautiful Song… And do is Kaveri!! Congrats proud Momma,” tweeted Shaan.
Star singer Sonu Nigam also appreciated both Kapur and Krishnamoorthi while praising Kaveri. “This talented little girl of my friend @suchitrak & @shekharkapur deserves a lot of love 4 this. Kudos Kaveri. :),” he said.
“Saw her as a kid in a recording studio once, working hard and here she is today. Well done Kaveri. God speed,” tweeted Abhishek Bachchan.
A well-known director, actor, and producer, Shekhar Kapur has films like Masoom, Elizabeth, Mr. India and Bandit Queen to his credit. Appeared first in a Malayalam movie, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi made her Bollywood debut in 1993 romantic drama ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ opposite Shahrukh Khan.
