Indian cricket sensation Virat Kohli is ready to surprise everyone once again: not with his bat though, but with his dance steps this time. Premier Futsal League has unveiled a sneak peak video of its theme song featuring a rapping, hopping Kohli.
In the video, Kohli is seen dancing to the tune of legend AR Rahman’s music. Fully energized moves of India’s test captain gives all the fans a reason to cheer as they can expect more when the theme song is released soon. Rahman is also featured in the song.
Brand Ambassador of Premier Futsal League that brings together football players from 21 countries, Kohli has lent his voice for the theme song. The sneak peak video was published earlier this week in Chennai.
“I’m under more pressure than on the field as I’m sitting next to a person [Rahman] I hugely admire,” Kohli was quoted as saying by the Hindu.
“Many of my childhood memories have a connection to the tunes of this man. I know how to prepare for cricket, but I have no clue about a recording session,” he added.
“I’m proud to associate with Premier Futsal for the league’s official anthem. It makes me happy to see such young entrepreneurs being passionate about the sporting scenario of the country and I wish them all the success in this venture. I’m especially excited to work with Virat Kohli on this, let’s hope he is as good with his melody as he is with his bat!” said Rahman.
The tournament will kick-off on July 15 with teams representing Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad and Goa.
