The trailer has Sayani’s voice that will take us back to late fifties where the film is set. Rustom is based on K M Nanavati Vs State of Maharashtra case in 1959 in Nanavati was tried for the murder of Prem Ahuja, his wife’s lover.

Sayani, who is currently in his mid-80’s and not really active on the entertainment scene mesmerized everyone in the studio with his youthful and energetic ‘andaaz’, an entertainment website reported.
“ Akshay was quite sure that Sayaniji’s vocals would be a perfect fit for the retro setting that ‘Rustom’boasts of. Moreover, as a mark of a respect for the man who has been a veteran in the business and has entertained three generations of film and music lovers, Akshay wanted to ensure that he got the best and most comfortable facilities to record his voice.” The portal quoted a source.
