Delhi Police filed two cross cases against two persons on Monday after each accused the other of rape. In the strange incident, a 17-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman accused each other of rape in a three-star hotel in Delhi’s Mahipalpur area.
The woman called the police saying that the boy sexually assaulted her in the hotel room. Responding to the call, the police reached the hotel to see the boy and the woman locked up in the room. They took both for detailed questioning, reported India Today.
During the interrogation, the woman told the police that she met the boy on Facebook and he used to chat with her. She alleged that the boy persuaded her to come to the hotel and raped her after making her take a spiked drink.
The boy rejected her allegation and said it was she who sent him a friend request on Facebook. She coaxed him to the hotel, consumed the drink and forced him to have sex with her. According to the boy, she had carried alcohol with her and called the police after locking the door.
The police were in a dilemma after questioning both as they couldn’t arrive at a conclusion from the explanations of both. However, a case of sexual assault has been registered against the boy and the woman has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
