Sophisticated drones coming to India soon.

The California-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI), which is one of the top manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles and radar solutions in the U.S., is planning to enter India by opening its first office in New Delhi by the end of the year.
Linden Blue, CEO, of GA-ASI, which is one of the major suppliers of drones and electro-optic and related mission systems solutions to the US military was quoted by PTI saying “We are looking forward to continuing to enhance our cooperation with India by working with the US government to provide the Indian Navy with persistent, operationally proven maritime domain awareness.â€
The official statement of GA-ASI announcing the plan to setup its offshore office in Delhi also gives a clear indication that it will work closely with the Indian authorities as it has identified India as a potential market for its products.
When GA-ASI opens its office in India by the end of the year, their priority will be to assist the Indian Army and Navy to help the Ministry of Defence to bridge the gaps high-end technology.
GA-ASI sees the maritime environment in India vast and diverse and the unpredictable weather patterns in the Indian Ocean require highly sophisticated drones and other surveillance systems.
Vivek Lall, the Chief Executive for Commercial Strategic Development in US and globally for General Atomics is a prominent Indian face in the company.
