Daughter portrays Trump as “people’s champion.â€

Americans are not alien to surprises during Presidential elections. While Donald Trump’s nomination is no wonder, but the way Trump clinched the nomination definitely is.
Trump kept the media buzzing with his eccentric comments right from the inception. The pitch eased when the miasma on Republican nomination cleared and Trump started talking wee bit sense. So much so that few immigrant groups started supporting Trump as a Presidential nominee of the Republican party. Recently, two prominent Indian-Americans reiterated support to the Trump campaign.
Indian American Shalab “Shalli†Kumar, a Chicago-based entrepreneur donated $454,400 to Trump’s campaign and pledged the same amount from his wife. Another Indian-American Arun Bhumitra, a Trump delegate, feels that Trump has much more to offer to Indian-Americans than his counterpart.
While Trump’s endeavors paid and he managed to secure the Republican nomination, his daughter Ivanka Trump played a significant role in portraying her father as “people’s championâ€. Whilst introducing him at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ivanka Trump described that her father’s core strength is that he is a “political outsiderâ€!
“Real change, the kind we have not seen in decades, is only going to come from outside the system. And it’s only going to come from a man who has spent his entire life doing what others said could not be done,†the 34-year-old former model said. “As the proud daughter of your nominee I am here to tell you that this is a moment and Donald trump is the person to make America great again.â€
Eldest daughter of the Republican nominee offered personal anecdotes about his persona as a father, entrepreneur, person, and leader. A mother of three, told the applauding crowd, “Like many of my fellow millennials, I do not consider myself categorically Republican or Democrat.â€
Ivanka Trump was at her best as she addressed the biggest gathering yet. The crowd cheered, applauded and nodded as she described her father. Such was the impact that many left the convention hall wondering what if she becomes a presidential nominee. According to an article by Reuters, a Republican delegate in Cleveland carried a placard all week around the convention reading: “Ivanka, 2024. First Female President.â€
Her speech would help her businessman-turned-politician father attract young voters. She proved her mettle as a daughter and an impressive speaker. There were more Google searches for Ivanka Trump than Donald Trump, according to The Times of India.
“Okay, why isn’t @Ivanka Trump running for President?†said television actor Anson Mount in a Twitter post, reported Reuters.
“It’s what leads so many people who dislike Donald Trump to admit that his daughter is very impressive and wonder why she isn’t the presidential candidate instead,†wrote The Washington Post. Ivanka Trump will turn 35 – presidential age – in October, the article added.
Over the years we will see more of her. While the thought is being sowed, Trump daughter might germinate as seemingly effortless candidate.
