More than 1,000 robots have set a new world record by dancing together continuously in China. 1007 humanoid robots completed a synchronized dance in China’s Qingdao to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
The robot dance that was arranged as part of the Qingdao Beer Festival in Shandong, beat the previous record of 540 dancing robots achieved by Chinese company UBTECH Robotics Corp earlier this year in Southern China’s Shenzhen.
A total of 1040 robots of 43.8 cm size participated in the event and 1007 of them successfully completed the one-minute-long drill without stopping or falling. The robots named QRC-2 were manufactured by Ever Win Company & Ltd. that organized the event.
The machines were controlled from just one mobile phone and the company used “a special encryption technology to reduce radio frequency inference from nearby mobile phones and Bluetooth devices,” according to the official website of Guinness World Records.
Official Guinness World Records adjudicator Angela Wu verified the record on site and a technology expert from Robots Association attended as a witness.
Ever Win Company & Ltd. arranged the event to promote their products.
