The concert is part of the Pakistani singer’s nine-city North America tour.
Popular Pakistani singer Atif Alsam will perform in Washington, DC, on October 21, as part of his nine-city North America tour. The concert will be held at the downtown Warner Theater, promoter BJ Singh told The American Bazaar.
The three-hour concert will consist of non-stop Bollywood and Sufi songs, including several popular numbers by the singer, he said.
The Washington concert will be Aslam’s seventh of the current tour, which will conclude with performances in Toronto, on October 22, and New Jersey on October 23.
“I watched him perform in six cities and the audience was mesmerized,” said Singh, President and CEO of EventEQ, an event production company based in Columbia, MD. “In Washington, we want to put on a good show that is all about the artist and the community.”

The promoter added that Aslam, whom he described as one of the “go-to” singers in Bollywood, will be performing with his “entire band.”
Singh add that the tickets sales are going “incredibly well” and the concert is on track to become a sold-out one.
This is the first concert promoted by Singh’s EventEQ, which provides design, audio, video and lighting solutions. The firm has produced more than a hundred Bollywood shows in the past decade, Singh said.
“Even though this is the first time we are venturing into promotion, I have been intimately involved with artists and shows for 20 years now,” he said. Singh, who is partnering with Raheem Paracha of Paracha Entertainment, another industry veteran, said, “Between the two of us there is nothing about show business that we don’t know.”
Having provided event production for several years for Aslam, including the singer’s recent tour with Sonu Nigam, Singh said he “couldn’t help but notice the incredible energy that Atif exudes on stage.”
He added: “It was incredible to see the audience mesmerized during this entire performance night after night. We are excited to bring this experience with all his new hits including Tere sang yaara from Rustom and Jeena jeena from Badlapur, to his original hits including Woh Lamhe, Pehli Nazar main and Tera Hone Laga Hoon. We are confident that this will be a concert to remember.”
