The Halliburton executive, who is also president of TiE DC, is the first Chief Data Scientist of a major oil and gas industry firm.
Dr. Satyam Priyadarshy, the Chief Data Scientist of Halliburton, has been named as one of the key innovators on the leading edge of digital transformation by Smart Industry.
Dr. Priyadarshy, the president of The Indus Entrepreneurs Washington, DC, chapter (TiE DC), was listed as one of the top “50 Digital Innovators,” who “already are putting the concepts of the Industrial Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, cloud computing and big data analytics to work with demonstrable results.”
The list, the first ever compiled by the Smart Industry, was unveiled at the Smart Industry 2016 conference held in Chicago from September 26 to 28.
The 50 Digital Innovators include “front-line implementers†from “a broad range of industry verticals,†according to the publication.
“It is an honor to be listed among the top digital innovators in the country by a reputed publication like Smart Industry,” Dr. Priyadarshy told The American Bazaar.
Dr. Priyadarshy, who obtained his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and MBA from The Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech, is the first Chief Data Scientist of a major oil and gas industry firm.
He was listed by The Financial Times as a potential board candidate with emerging technology and analytics expertise. He is also an adjunct faculty at Oklahoma State University and a Senior Fellow at the International Cyber Center at George Mason University.
A highly sought out speaker, author and scientist, Dr. Priyadarshy is a pioneer in the fields of data science, big data, analytics, and emerging technologies.
Prior to joining Halliburton, he has held various leadership positions with top tech companies such as AOL, Network Solutions, Acxiom Corporation.
