Trump had once complained about the Oval office podium.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been an expert in insulting almost all his critics, whether be it from within his own party or from the opposite camp. Out of the ones who have fallen under the radar of Trump’s slur are Indian American governors Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley.
A report that appeared in the New York Times, which is the compilation of the critical remarks made by Donald Trump via Twitter after he declared his bid to the White House names leaders, both within his party and outside.
The report says, “Since declaring his candidacy for president last June, Donald Trump has used Twitter to lob insults at presidential candidates, journalists, news organizations, nations, a Neil Young song and even a lectern in the Oval Office. We know this because we’ve read, tagged and quoted them all.”
The report has the names of 281 people who were insulted by the controversial presidential candidate via Twitter.
The list includes the name of former Lousiana Governor, Bobby Jindal who was criticized by Trump as “lightweight”, “registered at less than one percent in the polls”, “spent $1,000 to register in New Hampshire & dropped out the next day. Such a waste!”
When it comes to the South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Trump said, “The people of South Carolina are embarrassed by Nikki Haley!”
The list also has the name of Indian Origin journalist Sopan Deb, the Presidential Campaign Digital Journalist at CBS News, who was attacked by Trump for alleged “dishonest reporting”. He also asked his media house to fire him as he “lied”.
The Chicago police had detained Deb when he came to cover the election rally in March this year.
The report also has the name of Huma Abedin, a close aide of Hillary Clinton who was called by Trump as a “major security” threat – a racist insinuation pointing at her Indo-Pak origin.
The report also claims that Trump has not left a single object in the Oval office from his mass criticism. It says Trump had once complained about the Oval Office podium, saying it “looks odd” and “not good.”
The other leaders who were at the receiving end of Donald Trump’s wrath are his rival Clinton, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who according to the republican candidate “ruining Germany”; Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal who Trump thinks “wants to control our US politicians with daddy’s money” and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg who, Trump said, “never had the guts to run for president” and “his last term as Mayor was a disaster.”
New York Times, Associated Press, CNN, Fortune, Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal are also on the list.
Trump had also opposed the US visa system (“broken, like so much else in our country”), trans-Pacific Partnership, Obamacare, Iran nuclear deal, the electoral process and the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, which he called a “criminal enterprise”.
