The ‘Lemonade’ singer will join her husband Jay Z on Friday’s concert.
After Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony kicked off a star-stretched campaign with a ‘get-out-the-vote’ concert in South Florida, now Beyoncé will perform for Hillary Clinton.
According to CBS News report, the ‘Lemonade’ singer will join her husband Jay Z on stage at Cleveland’s ‘get-out-the-vote’ show on Friday, just four days before the Election.
The get-out-the-vote rally is part of Hillary for America’s “Love Trumps Hate†nationwide concert series.
Jay Z, whose appearance had already been announced, shared a rare tweet ahead of the concert.
“11/4 Cleveland Let’s make history (again),†he wrote. “Thank you to the incredible artist dedicating their time this Friday!â€
According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, Donald Trump holds a 5-point lead in Ohio and the swing state could be crucial for the victory in the race.
The concert is reportedly aimed at youngsters and African-American voters in the Democratic stronghold of Cuyahoga County, where Clinton needs big margins on election night to defeat Trump.
Beyoncé and Jay Z have backed Clinton in the past and attended fundraisers for the Democratic nominee. Ne-Yo also performed at a campaign event in Raleigh, N.C on Tuesday, followed by The National in Cincinnati next day. On Wednesday DJ Steve Akoi performed at Las Vegas and served a battle cry for the young voters to get to the polls on Friday for the state’s last day of early voting or on Tuesday, Election Day.
Singer Katy Perry will also join Clinton in Philadelphia’s Mann Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday as a part of the same concert series.
