The much-awaited trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ has been released and within hours it managed to clock 272,072 views, and counting.
Based on the life of much-hyped bootlegger Abdul Latif, a gangster associated with Dawood Ibrahim who was killed by police in Ahmedabad in 1997, the movie is set in the Popatiyawad area of Gujarat.
The 2.46 minute trailer opens with SRK’s words, “Koi dhanda chhota nahi hota, aur dhande se bara koi dharm nahi hota”- no business is too small, no religion greater than business.
Shah Rukh Khan stars in and as Raees Alam or Miyaan bhai and Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays ACP Ghulam Patel, the cop who goes after Raees.
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, making her Bollywood debut as Raees bhai’s love interest Mohsina and her entry comes in a perfect ‘Bollywood’ style. The trailer also has a sneak peak of Sunny Leone’s item number.
Directed by ‘Parzania’ fame Rahul Dholakia and co-produced by Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Raees’ will hit the theatres on January 25, 2017.
