Indian actress Manasvi Mamgai will perform at a free concert at the Lincoln Memorial here in connection with Donald Trump’s inaugural celebrations on January 19.
Two concerts — Voices of the People and Welcome Celebration — will be held on Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm,
A press release from the Republican Hindu Coalition said the former Femina Miss India will “perform to a medley of the biggest blockbuster Bollywood songs” such as Kaala Chashma, Jumme Ki Raat, Dhoom Machale and Jai Ho.
Mamgai is the goddaughter of Shalabh “Shalli” Kumar, the RHC founder. She is also an ambassador for the organization in India.
RHC said Mamgai has been rehearsing for the performance with the rest of the crew.

The release said Mamgai “will be dressed in a heady mix of haute couture gowns by Ken Ferns and Gauri Nainika and contemporary Indian pieces by Manav Gangwani and Tarun Tahiliani, styled by Swapnil Shinde.”
The RHC is one of the 30 groups that will be taking part in the Voices of the People concert. These groups were selected from hundreds of applications submitted, according to the presidential inauguration website.
According to the site, the other participating groups will include “the DC Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, King’s Academy Honor Choir, the Republican Hindu Coalition, Montgomery Area High School Marching Band, Marlana Van Hoose, Maury NJROTC Color Guard, Pride of Madawaska, Webelos Troop 177, Northern Middle School Honors Choir, American Tap Company, South Park and District Pipe Band, Everett High School Viking Marching Band, TwirlTasTix Baton Twirling, and Celtic United Pipes and Drums.”
