Revised fees would be applicable on 14 visa categories.
Embassy of India, Washington, DC, has announced new visa fees for the US nationals.
“The Government of India has rationalized and modified the Visa fees for several categories of Visas. The new fees will be applicable from April 01, 2017,†the Embassy’s news statement read.
The new list includes revised rates for 14 visas, namely Tourist Visa (T), Business Visa (B), Entry Visa (X), Employment and Project Visa (P), Student Visa (S), Medical Visa (MED) and Medical Attendant Visas (MED X), Conference/Seminars Visa (C), Journalist Visa (J), Research Visa (R), Missionary Visa (M), Mountaineering Visa (MX), Intern Visa (I), Film Visa (F) and Transit Visa.
“Any Visa applications sent by Post/Courier before April 01, 2017 but received by our outsourced agency, CKGS [Cox & Kings Global Services], on or after that date will also be charged the new fee. The Embassy/CKGS would collect the applicable different visa fees,†the Embassy statement elaborated.
In addition, all pending applications with CKGS, which require additional documentation, should include differential fees if these additional documents are received by CKGS on or after April 01, 2017.
