The Great India Films will bring the movie to theaters in North America.
The question ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’ will get an answer this weekend as SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ is all set for a grand opening.
The Prabhas-starrer movie will have its world premiere on Thursday in Mumbai and big names of the Indian film industry is expected to attend the event. According to media reports, the film will open world-wide on record 9,000 screens and will hit 6,500 screens in India on April 28.
The Great India Films, which acquired the North American theatrical rights of the film for a record price, is also gearing up for a mammoth release in the US and Canada on April 27. The film is also going to have a huge IMAX release across the United States.
Telugu, Tamil and Hindi versions of the film will be released in over 1100 screens including 45 IMAX locations. Telugu media reports suggest that a million tickets were sold in the US and Canada for Thursday premiers.
“Even all other regular theatres will be screening 4K content for best viewing pleasure, Bahubali-2, The Conclusion is all set to premier on Thursday 4/27 from 3 PM EST in USA and Canada,” Great India Films, earlier, said in a news media release.
“#Baahubali2 USA added Three IMAX’s for existing Lennox Columbus, Whiterivers Indy, Regal Mall Atlanta Enjoy Best Screening Experience,” the distributors added.
‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ is said to have collected around $100 million in box office and the sequel aims for $150 million victory.
