The Bollywood star, who is back in the US after a break in India, speaks about her Baywatch experience.
Priyanka Chopra is back in the United States after a brief break in India, and is spending much of her time promoting her maiden Hollywood movie Baywatch.
The Quantico-star was recently on “22 minutes†with 1010 WINS’ Brigitte Quinn talking about her expectations from the villainous role that she plays in Baywatch, which also stars Dwayne Johnson.
Speaking on the show, Chopra said, “If you’ve been a fan of the old Baywatch, the TV show, then this movie takes the spirit of that Baywatch and wraps it up in rated R, naughty fun. That’s the best explanation of this movie I can give.â€
In the interview, the Bollywood diva spoke about her experience working with Johnson and Zac Efron. She also spoke of a phone call she received from David “The Hoff†Hasselhoff, the star of the original series.
The Indian star said that while growing up she had watched the Baywatch series, which was her mother’s favorite show.

Chopra also told Quinn how her life took an unexpected turn after getting trained to become an engineer when her mom entered her in a beauty pageant.
“I went there to skip my exams… I never in my wildest dreams had thought that I would win or I’d be an actor or any such thing. I’m just glad destiny pushed me in that way,†she said. “I always say I’m destiny’s other favorite child, after Beyonce.â€
Chopra, who is all set to welcome her first Hollywood movie, is also getting ready for the third season of Quantico, which gave her the first international break. She spoke about filming in New York, where she grew up as a child.

“New York was a very imperative part of my upbringing as a kid here. It made me global. It made me understand that the world is a melting pot of different people,†she says.
In her absence at Cannes, Chopra’s mother and brother unveiled the poster of her third production venture – a Sikkimese film named Pahuna, produced by Purple Pebble Pictures owned by her.
The film is about on three Nepali children who get separated from their parents during the Maoist agitation in Nepal.
