Sena calls Trump the “savior of humanity”
As President Donald Trump celebrates his 71st birthday on Wednesday, a right-wing groupHindu Sena held a celebratory event and a raj tilak ceremony in New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
The Sena, which calls Trump the “savior of humanity,” cut a decorative cake on Trump’s behalf and also conducted a photo exhibition on the life of the US President. The group and its president Vishnu Gupta invited people and press to the celebrations by sharing a poster of the event on WhatsApp and other social media platforms, in which a childhood photo of Trump was featured alongside a current one.
This is not the first time that the organization has planned an event for Trump. Last year, too, they organized an event on Trump’s birthday; and, on May 2016, they held a havan in Jantar Mantar for Donald Trump’s success in the presidential elections.
However, many underprivileged children and street dwellers in Jantar Mantar savored the birthday cake as their lunch. Although, they might not be aware of the occasion being celebrated.
