Chopra took to Twitter to thank the magazine

Priyanka Chopra has become the most popular actor on social media according to the Top Actors Chart released by MVPindex, beating actors like Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Vin Diesel on the latest tracking week that ended on June 6.
The Indian actor made it to the top of the chart by gaining most likes to become the most popular actor across all platforms.
Moreover, she is the only Indian-origin in the list, no other Indian actors, not even Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are a part of the top 10 actors list.
The Top Actors chart is a ranking of the most popular actors on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex.
The chart’s methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers.PeeCee tops the list, gaining in multiple metrics, including 98 percent in Twitter mentions in the tracking week.
A week after ranking second on The Hollywood Reporter’s inaugural Top Actors chart, with Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson on the first position, Chopra manages to bag the first position in a magazine’s Top Actors list, this week, interchanging positions with her The Rock in newest tally. Johnson and fellow Baywatch star Zac Efron rank at Nos. 2 and 9, respectively.

“Chopra’s No. 1 coronation comes after a 20 percent bump in all conversation-related metrics (such as comments on Instagram and Facebook, plus handle mentions on Twitter)†the magazine states.
The actor participated in Gap’s new “Bridging the Gap†campaign meant to embrace individuality and optimism (alongside Wiz Khalifa, Jasmine Sanders and many more), writing on Twitter June 6, “The reality of our world today is that there are many bridges to cross & gaps to fill.â€
The actor started her international career with ABC’s popular TV series Quantico and made her Hollywood debut in Baywatch, which initially released on 10th May, 2017.
Meanwhile, Chopra is reportedly in talks for two Hollywood projects. One is ‘A Kid Like Jake’ which stars The Big Bang Theory star, Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer. The other is ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ starring Pitch Perfect’s Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Liam Hemsworth.
Back in Bollywood, Chopra is currently reading scripts and is yet to sign on the dotted line for her next project. She is rumored to star as Amrita Pritam in Sahir Ludhianvi’s biopic. The actress may also co-produce the movie with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
