Mathew pioneered and chaired Departments of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in India and the Middle East
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Greater Ohio Chapter has honored Indian American physician Leslie Mathew for his distinguished service.
The recognition is for his many years of service to the American College of Healthcare Executives/Greater Ohio Health Leaders Forum, Times of India reported.
Mathew, who hails from Bangalore, is currently the program chair for the Master of Healthcare Administration Program at Franklin University.
He specializes in teaching Community Health, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Finance, Strategic Planning and Contemporary Issues in Healthcare Management.
At the Annual International Teaching-Learning Symposium on June 2, Mathew received Franklin University’s inaugural Christopher Washington Lifetime Achievement Award for Educational Excellence.
Mathew pioneered and chaired Departments of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in India and the Middle East. He has also worked as the Administrative Director of Operations at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Mathew completed his MD in 1979 from the University of Calcutta and earned a master’s degree in Biotechnology Enterprise from John Hopkins University. He also holds an executive MBA from the Ohio State University.
ACHE is an international professional society of more than 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems, and other healthcare organizations. It is known for the prestigious FACHE credential, signifying board certification in healthcare management.
