Minhaj is currently a correspondent on The Daily Show.

Hasan Minhaj is yet to be a  big name in India, but with but with the kind of talent the Indian American stand-up comedian possesses, it is only a matter of time before he becomes a celebrity in the country where his parents came from.
An Instagram post by Minhaj seems to suggest that the man who took a jibe at President Donald Trump (even though in his absence) during the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner was in Delhi recently, unnoticed.

The comedian and actor on Monday posted a group photo on his official Instagram handle, standing along with family members in a location believed to be in Jamia Nagar in Delhi. The photo was accompanied by a comment: “Minhaj men in Delhi.”
The picture is now going viral with Delhites scratching their head for having missed seeing one of America’s finest young stand-up comedians.
One user commented: “I work so close!!! Wish I could see you perform here!!!”
Another wrote: “You’re in Delhi! Is there a show on the horizon?”
The Davis, CA, -born comedian’s parents, Najme and Seema Minhaj, moved to the United States from Aligarh, a two-hour drive from Delhi.
Minhaj, who reportedly speaks Urdu, is a correspondent on The Daily Show. His stand-up special Homecoming King, released in May, on Netflix, has been getting positive reviews from around the globe. The film, which is about the life of a South Asian Muslim living in the United States, is a sequel to his one-man show that had earlier debuted Off-Broadway in October 2015.
