The last Republican US senator from Massachusetts was Brown, who lost to Warren in 2012.
Indian American Entrepreneur and Scientist Shiva Ayyadurai, who is challenging Senator Elizabeth Warren in 2018 electoral battle from Massachusetts, on Wednesday expressed confidence about his victory and called Warren a ‘fake fighter’.
Ayyadurai ridiculed Warren for her 2012 claim that she was Native American according to ‘family stories’ and said that a real Indian can defeat a fake Indian.
“I think only a real Indian can defeat a fake Indian,” Ayyadurai said on Fox Business’ show Varney & Co. “I sent her a DNA test kit of a real Indian and a fake Indian, the truth, because there is woman who actually checked off the box that she is Native American.”
“I’m looking forward to going against Warren; I know how these elites work. I know I can defeat her,” the Republican candidate said adding that Donald Trump is hero and Trump is doing a great job.
Ayyadurai, who born in Mumbai, came to US when he was seven. He rose to fame after he claimed that he invented email at the age of 14 as a Research Fellow at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Science at NYU. He registered the copyright for his software, called ‘EMAIL’ and the program’s user documentation in 1982.
He sued Gawker, which later went bankrupt, after it wrote an article disparaging him. The case was settled for $750,000.
His undergraduate degree from MIT was in electrical engineering and computer science. Ayyadurai also holds two master’s degrees, one in visual studies and another in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D in biological engineering from the same institute.
Shiva Ayyadurai first announced his candidacy on February 25, a Hindu festival day of Shiva Rathri, through twitter and described his battle as it is to defend the ‘American Dream’.
