So much so that the discussion started by media analyst Thomas Baekdal attracted a response by Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai, too, who said the correction would be the first thing they are going to handle on Monday morning.
The India American CEO of Google Sundar Pichai on Saturday immediately realized a major flaw when the IT company released an emoji of a cheeseburger that placed the cheese below the meat.
The misplacement of cheese came to the fore when Thomas Baekdal, a writer and a media analyst, propelled a discussion on Twitter pointing out the inconsistency between the cheeseburger designs of Apple and Google. Comparing emojis of the IT giants on Saturday morning, Baekdal tweeted, “I think we need to have a discussion about how Google’s burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top.”

By night, the company’s CEO had already noticed the error and responded promptly on Twitter, “Will drop everything else we are doing and address on Monday:) if folks can agree on the correct way to do this!”

Following Pichai’s response, Baekdal wrote, “Heh… this morning is hilarious. Sundar Pichai Offered To ‘Drop Everything’ To Discuss An Emoji. Here’s Wh.”
As ordinary as it the cheese-discussion may sound, but by Sunday morning the discussion was all over on Twitter and had reached two million impressions. “It turns out that the question of life, the universe, and everything is: ‘Where’s the cheese?’ J … Burger tweet now reached 2 mil,” Baekdal wrote.

And by Monday morning, it had reached more than four million impressions.
“This weekend was fun, but I’m now going back into ‘media analysis mode’. We Have publishers to save and new trends to discuss :),” Baekdal tweeted while announcing the discussion on Twitter has reached four million.

Here are some of the comments on the discussion:
lettuce under meat keeps the bottom bun from getting (as) soggy with meat juice.

They're both wrong. Google's cheese is wrong, Apple's lettuce is wrong. The correct order, from bottom up, is burger – cheese – toppings pic.twitter.com/lF1AUu64ht
