SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali series has created many records including the highest grossing Indian film of all time and the highest grossing Indian film in the US box office.
Months after the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion, the movies and the songs are still in the minds of its fans and a recent incident is a proof of that.
A group of students performed to the ‘Saahore Baahubali’ song during a National Basketball Association (NBA) game in Orlando, Florida last week and stunned the crowd at NBA halftime show.
The students were dressed in bright colored, shimmery lehenga – choli and kurta-dhoti pants and the dance was perfectly choreographed.
NBA India shared the video of their stellar performance on its Facebook and Twitter pages on November 21.
“Orlando gets treated to some CRAZY DESI VIBES,†the caption read.
Within one week, the 1-minute-40-second video garnered more than 746,000 views on Facebook and got more than 92,000 likes.
The performance was part of NBA’s “Bollywood Heritage nights†celebration which intends to promote the game in India. The celebration earlier witnessed stunning performances by Indian Bhangra dance groups, including the California-based Bhangra Empire.
Released in four languages – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion star cast include Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj. M. M. Keeravani composed the music and background score for the film.
