Hillary Clinton had to seek medical assistance in Jodhpur, Rajasthan
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seems to be having a “painful” trip to India as reports claim that the septuagenarian fell in the bathtub on Tuesday and fractured her wrist. A few days ago, Clinton slipped and stumbled twice while walking down stairs during her visit to Jahaj Maha palace in Mandu, Madhya Pradesh, India
According to reports, Hillary Clinton had to seek medical assistance in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on Tuesday.
Even though there is no official word from Clinton’s office regarding the severity of the fracture, a doctor who treated her in Jodhpur was quoted by Times of Indiasaying that the former First Lady had to undergo a CT Scan and X-Ray of her hand. The doctors found a minor fracture in her right wrist and asked her to take rest.
Reportedly, Clinton received medical care from city’s Goyal Hospital. According to DNA, the hospital received a call from Umaid Bhavan Palace, where Clinton was staying, requesting for a team of doctors and hot bandage after the Democratic Party presidential candidate felt pain in her wrist. Doctors have suggested rest for Clinton. Accordingly, she is said to have canceled some of her travel-plans including a visit to a historic fort at the Mehrangarh Museum in Jodhpur.
Clinton is in India for the promotion of her book ‘What Happened’ that talks about her defeat in 2016 presidential election. “In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I’ve often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I’m letting my guard down,” Clinton writes in opening part of her book.
Clinton has had several stumbles in the past. The first noted incident was in 2011 when she was boarding a plane to Yemen. Then again while boarding a plane for a rally in North Carolina in Oct 2016. And, just months before the presidential election she collapsed while attending the 9/11 Memorial, which was later confirmed as a result of pneumonia.
There was even an infamous tweet by Donald Trump before the election that read: “Hillary Clinton is weak and ineffective – no strength, no stamina.”
