“A Long Time” was written and produced by Poo Bear, who has co written a number of hits for Justin Bieber.
Shannon K., daughter of Bollywood legend Kumar Sanu, has released a new music video on YouTube and Vevo.
The single has already hit over 2.6 million views on YouTube and is available now on Spotify. The song was written and produced by 4x Grammy award winning Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, who is well-known for his work with Justin Bieber and is the mastermind behind such hits as “Where Are U Now”, “What Do You Mean”, and “Despacito,” and “I’m The One”.
The song was produced by Poo Bear and Sasha Sirota, a Los Angeles-based singer and music producer. Its director is Annabel K, Shannon’s younger sister.
Working with Poo Bear was “such an honor,” the 16-year-old told The American Bazaar in Washington, DC, on Friday. She was in the nation’s capital for a performance hosted by SLS Productions, an entertainment company launched last month by Indian singer Mika Singer and local promoter Manish Sood to nurture Indian American talent.

Shannon, who grew up in London, has always been surrounded by music, as the daughter of Kumar Sanu. By the time she was four, she was already performing on stage in front of thousands.
She moved to the United States last year to advance her music career. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles, along with her mom and younger sister. While pursuing a career in music, the teenager is also enrolled at an LA-area high school.
“I think a lot of good things happen over here,” the 11th grader said. “[Everyone] is so supportive here and …obviously it’s a little hard … getting around the town and trying to be someone. But apart from that, I think LA is just amazing, from the whether to the people to the music. It’s an artistic city, so I just love being here.”
She performed with her father for the first time during a concert in the United States.
Already an experienced performer, Shannon has performed live at the Warner Theatre in Washington DC, Sun National Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ, Amazura Concert Hall in Jamaica, NY, Terrace Theatre in Long Beach, CA, and the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center in Redondo Beach, CA, among other venues.
Outside of music, Shannon is a big believer in philanthropic causes. According to her website, “She spends as much time as possible focused on a number of charities, and even donated her long hair for the Little Princess Trust – a charity that provides real hair wigs for children living with cancer and other illnesses.”
