TIE DC, the Washington, DC, chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs, will host a workshop on government contracting on October 22.
“GovCon Workshop: Growing & Scaling Your GovCon Business” will be held at the Tower Club in Vienna, VA, from 7 am to 11 am.
TiE DC said the forward-looking and informative workshop is designed for founders and CEOs of 8(a), women owned, HUBZones and veteran-owned businesses, and delegates can hear from government contracting leaders in the Washington, DC, region and connect with TiE DC’s community of government contractors.
Among the topics to be discussed are opportunities ahead for government contractors in 2019, positioning one’s company for success in the field.

Speakers will include Rajiv Uppal, acting director & CIO at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; Manish Agarwal, President & COO of Attain; Gail Bassin, Co-founder & Co-CEO of JBS International; Ana Hirsbrunner, president of Synectics Management (SMDI); Sumeet Srivastava, CEO of Array Information Technology; Paul Karch, CEO of Gardant Global and Siddhartha (Sid) Chaudhary, CEO of Credence Management Solutions.
The event will start at 7 am, with an hour-long breakfast and networking. It will be followed by a kick off and two CEO panels, one on “Identifying evolving opportunities in the GovCon space” and another on “Scaling and growing your business in the GovCon Space.”
