A visit to the island nation is a beach lovers’ dream come true

A trip to Sri Lanka is everything you can imagine that a beach paradise is made of. While the entire island is spectacular, a holiday to Sri Lanka is defined by where you choose to stay.
Taj Beach Resort & Spa in Bentota on the southwest coast, amid Colombo and Galle, is one of Sri Lanka’s most popular resorts for those seeking a tranquil and fun filled vacation.
It has one of the best locations in Bentota, built up and around a rocky promontory with views up and down the resort town’s wide, fine, sandy beach.
The Madu Ganga River empties into the sea just north of the hotel and is the focus for water sports such as jet skiing, windsurfing and banana boating, as well as river cruises.

This 160-room resort has been intended to resonate a traditional Sri Lankan hillside hamlet, albeit a very decorative one with an impressive swimming pool and sun loungers.
The architecture blends beautifully into colorful tropical gardens.
Winding stone paths lead to bright green lawns and a thatch-roofed restaurant staring out to sea; the imposing pool surveys the beach. All very cosy while still feeling very much a part of this sweet little milieu.
Thanks to the amazingly warm, hospitable, expert staff, everything about the hotel looks to work just effortlessly.
It was gorgeously planned to radiate a sense of calmness, and flawlessly syndicates the natural background with gallant, modern living spaces.
All room types are well planned and endeavor to make the most of the location with views over the ocean, the poolside or natural beauty.
All are rather expansive too. Natural light; tranquil, light colors; and discerning artworks, sourced locally, augment the spaces.
I am happy with my suite that comes with a huge balcony replete with a jacuzzi overlooking the beautiful property stretching out to the Ocean.
I am glad I opted to come here; the relaxed air makes it an alluring vacation option from nearby Colombo.
Whatever you choose to do, it would be felonious to neglect the splendid Jiva Spa, one of the premium spas in Sri Lanka.
On the menu are a varied assortment of befittingly lavish treatments like the Balinese massages, jasmine scrubs, rose scented facials – as well as a captivating range of rounded offerings.
Breakfast, served near the poolside, is a banquet of rainbow-colored tropical fruits, fresh yogurts, out of the oven pastries, eggs and Sri Lankan hoppers and curries.

You can visit Shack, the hotel’s chic yet family-friendly beach restaurant, where you’ll find grills and invigorating cocktails.
Taj Bentota made such an effort to make every little thing a thing of joy for me. All in all, delightfully warm and courteous staff adds an advantage to the utterly charming property.
Covid Measures: You can enter Sri Lanka if you are fully vaccinated with Covishield or Covaxin and other WHO approved vaccines. Remember to Carry your Vaccination Certificate.
