25-year-old Lahari Pathivada’s body was found more than 200 miles away from home
In a tragic turn of events, a search campaign for a young professional from Mc Kinney, Texas has resulted in her body being recovered from Oklahoma.
Late on May 12, news began circulating on social media about the mysterious disappearance of 25-year-old Lahari Pathivada, a resident of Mc Kinney in Collins County in Texas.

Friends of the family, alerted the public that Lahari, who was also studying at the University of Kansas was last seen driving a black Toyota around El Dorado Parkway and Hardin Boulevard area in McKinney suburb.
She left home on Friday morning but never returned home. Her family then began searching for her in and around the area.
Although Lahari was a Dallas area resident, her phone was tracked in Oklahoma. This must have alarmed the friends and family as Lahari was supposed to go from home to her job in the area.
It emerged on May 13, that Lahari’s body was discovered more than 200 miles away in another state, Oklahoma. While the investigations are still on and it is still to emerge how Lahari reached Oklahoma, the news was shared on social media about her sad demise.
The authorities are working on the case and are yet to release more information.

Lahari worked at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center and was still enrolled in studies. She graduated from the University of Kansas. According to acquaintances, Lahari was brought up in Texas and attended the Blue Valley West High School. On learning about the young Indian girl’s disappearance, people began sharing her picture to build momentum and reach maximum people to know her whereabouts.
Friends and family described Lahari as very bright and a driven young professional. A well-loved member of the community, Lahari was known for her affable nature.
