To celebrate Google Maps’ 15th birthday Alphabet boss goes burrito hunting from DC to Mumbai.
We all have a soft spot for a comfort food. A dish that makes us feel satiated even while, we may be thousands of miles away, missing the sights and smells of familiar kitchens.
A dish that evokes strong memories and tastes homey and is just the food we may want to have to light up a dull day. Well, turns out that Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and now of Alphabet Inc. too has a comfort food, a dish that he likes to explore and binge on during his travels.
Sundar Pichai, loves a good veggie burrito. In fact, he is so fond of a well-made burrito that while traveling he gets pretty excited when he finds a place selling a yummy veggie burrito.
The Mexican dish comprising of a flour tortilla wrapped up with rice and beans along with many toppings is actually an easy, no-nonsense, satiating comfort food many Americans swear by.
On Feb 6 marking 15 years of launching Google Maps, Pichai decided to honor the day by enlisting his most favorite places in the world to have a burrito.
Considering the number of days that Googles’ CEO may be traveling in a year, may look more than our years of travel days put together, it’s pretty smart that Pichai has chosen a dish that is handy, filling, healthy and almost easily available around the world.
And true to his affable personality, Pichai’s list of favorite places around the world to have a burrito are not uptight or fancy restaurants that serve gourmet burritos, plated like art-on-a-plate but are often homey little places that won’t even burn- a -hole in mortal pockets.
Here’s Pichai approved burrito havens around the world, which the CEO shared on – where else, but Google Maps.
