WASHINGTON, DC: A 3-year-old boy in Milwaukee who was found suffering from multiple injuries has died after being found suffering from numerous physical ailments.
A law enforcement source close to the investigation told FOX6 News young Aiden Archer’s body was found to be covered with human bite marks. The boy also appeared to have head trauma, but the cause of death has not yet been determined.
Police were dispatched to the home close to South 54th Street and West Euclid Avenue on Monday night after receiving a report of a sick or injured person. Upon arrival, officers found Archer suffering from “numerous physical injuries,” according to a brief Police Department statement. He was transported to a hospital for treatment but died on Wednesday.
The child’s mother, a 24-year-old woman, and the mother’s boyfriend, a 27-year-old man, are in custody, police said, and the case is being treated as a homicide, according to KTLA5.
Neighbors knew the woman who rented out the home to the family as Jackie and her adult son as Josh. It is believed they took in the young mother, her 3-year-old child, and her boyfriend, reported Tribune Media Wire.
Lyle Seiben initially helped get first responders to the scene after Josh showed up on his doorstep.
“My neighbor came over, knocked on my door and needed to know if he could use my phone for 911, and I said ‘yeah,’” Seiben recalled.
“911 asked him, ‘What’s going on?’ He said, ‘The little one banged his head.’ He says, ‘I went outside and came back in. The little one banged his head and now he’s not breathing,’” Seiben recalled. “So I dialed 911 quick.”
An autopsy on the little boy was expected Thursday or Friday.
