Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg wished a happy Diwali to everyone via a Facebook post and added that he missed being in India for Diwali this year.
“It’s a moment of celebration for people in India and communities all over the world,” he wrote.
He also added a photo with his wife, which was taken at one of his Goan friend’s marriage in India. His status update said that he is celebrating Diwali with his wife Priscilla Chan and friend Aditya Agarwal in the US.
“It’s the start of Diwali, the Festival of Lights – when people light candles and fireworks to signify the victory of good over evil. I missed being in India for Diwali this year, but here’s a picture of Priscilla and me at our good friends’ wedding in Goa a few years ago. Happy Diwali everyone!” his Facebook post reads.
The post has been liked by over 3.68 lakh Facebook users and shared more than 8,700 times. Zuckerberg, who was on a visit to India in late October, held a townhall Q&A session at the Indian Institute of Technology in IIT-Delhi.
