The monkey didn’t turn out to a great driver, though.

In a bizarre incident, a monkey managed to start the engine of a parked bus and took off in the second gear, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
The incident caused no casualties, but the bus hit three other buses parked nearby before the driver took control of the bus, reported The Times of India.
It all began when the conductor of an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus from Pilibhit decided to halt the vehicle at a station in expectation of getting some passengers.
Since half-an-hour time was there to resume the journey, the driver went to the last row seat of the bus to doze off.
Meanwhile, a monkey entered the bus and reached the driver’s seat. It managed to start the bus with the ignition key which was kept on its slot. When the bus started, the alarmed driver woke up and ran towards his seat to shoo away the animal.
The frightened monkey, while trying to jump out of the vehicle, accidentally shifted the gear to the second level.
The bus started moving and it hit three other buses parked in the area by the time the driver took control of the vehicle and switched off the engine.
The passengers also panicked when they saw the bus moving without the driver. But mercifully, there were no casualties.
