Comparable to Einstein.

When he appeared for the Mensa test last month, Akhilesh Chandorkar wouldn’t have thought of becoming compared to some of the most intelligent people in the history of the world, like Albert Einstein, at least going by the Intelligent Quotient (IQ).
The 11-year-old boy from Nagpur, Maharashtra scored a surprising 160 at the Mensa IQ test conducted last month in Scotland, reported The Times of India.
Mensa, an international society of high IQ people has invited Chandorkar to the organization that represents the 2 percent of high intelligent people in the world. He attended the test while on a family trip to Scotland in June.
“I was expecting around 140, but this is really high. After the test, for days we kept checking e-mails to see if the results had come. It was a nice surprise to find it coming through traditional postal mail,” Chandorkar told The Times of India.
The new entrant of the 70-year-old society is a fan of Harry Potter and likes to play basketball and lawn tennis. But not like many other children of his age, he is seriously involved in learning science and wants to be an astronomer. He claims that he is working on a theory about black holes.
Akhilesh Chandorkar’s mother Sonali is a software professional and recalled the special qualities the boy had displayed right from childhood. “Even as a child, we knew he was special. He used to solve jigsaw puzzles and put together Lego block designs at the age of four, that normally only nine-year-olds can do. He’s a voracious reader as well. Since he met the minimum age of 10 for appearing for Mensa test, we decided to let him have a go at it,” Sonali was quoted as saying by the daily.
Chandorkar’s father Rutwik is also a software professional and they own a company in Nagpur. They had worked in Scotland for 10 years before setting up the firm.
