Less than a week after he won a Golden Globe, Aziz Ansari became the latest celebrity to be accused of sexual misconduct.
According to Babe.net, which first broke the story, the Indian American actor and comedian forced himself up on a 22-year-old Brooklyn-based photographer during a New York City date on September 26, 2017.
According to the woman, whom the website identified as Grace, Ansari started kissing her, within moments after the two returned to his apartment after their dinner.
“’In a second, his hand was on my breast,’” She was quoted as saying. “Then he was undressing her, then he undressed himself. She remembers feeling uncomfortable at how quickly things escalated.”
The woman told the website that she “voiced her hesitation explicitly” when Ansari told her he was going to grab a condom.
“I said something like, ‘Whoa, let’s relax for a sec, let’s chill.’” She says he then resumed kissing her, briefly performed oral sex on her, and asked her to do the same thing to him. She did, but not for long. “It was really quick. Everything was pretty much touched and done within ten minutes of hooking up, except for actual sex.”
The website said Ansari apologized to the woman via a text message the next day. Initially, he texted her: “It was fun meeting you last night.” To which, she responded: “Last night might’ve been fun for you, but it wasn’t for me.”
That message prompted him to apologize: “I’m so sad to hear this… Clearly, I misread things in the moment and I’m truly sorry.”

The website said it contacted Ansari for a response, but has not received it from the star until Sunday evening.
Ansari made history last week by becoming the first Asian male to win a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV series.
