Mika Singh, who will be performing as part of 73rd Indian Independence Day celebrations, will donate 2.5 million Indian rupees to the nonprofit Khalsa Aid.
Singer Mika Singh has sung some of the finest Bollywood hit songs of recent times. The singer, known for mega hit songs such as Mauja hi Mauja (Jab We Met) and Subah Hone Na De (Desi Boyz), has also released several solo albums that have been well received both in India and within the diaspora across the globe.
Now the singer is coming for a live performance to Washington, DC. He will be performing as part of 73rd Indian Independence Day celebration in US capital. The event, titled “Mika Sing Live,” will be held on September 1, in Centreville, VA.
Mika has pledged that all the proceeds from the concert will be donated to flood relief work in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Punjab.
Singh has also tied up with nonprofit Khalsa Aid, which carries out large scale humanitarian work across the globe, and has entrusted it to use the proceeds for the relief work.

Khalsa Aid, founded in Slough, England, is an international non-governmental organization that provides relief work in disaster areas and civil conflict zones across the world.
Additionally, the singer has also pledged to donate 2.5 million rupees (about $35,000) to Khalsa Aid to carry out the philanthropic work among people affected by floods.
The “73rd India Independence Day celebrations in Washington, DC, with Mika Singh,” is hosted by Intensedmv Radio and Intense Entertainment LLC, based in Virginia.
“I have hosted several Bollywood celebrities through my company Intense Entertainment, many speak about charity and what we all should do, but Mika Singh is one who speaks less but does a lot for poor and needy people,” Manish Sood, founder of the Intense Entertainment, told the American Bazaar. “It is my absolute pleasure to host him once every two years here in the DMV area.”
Mika Singh Live will be held on September 1 at Bull Run Regional Park, 7700 Bull Run Dr, Centreville, VA, 20121 between 12.00 pm and 9.00 pm. Singh will be performing at 5.00 pm.
