Pandemic winds of trade wars: 2021 export economics

winds of trade wars

Connect globally and work locally, as the new world calls for world maps on every wall and new thinking to read the world.

Netflix Series: Unless there are open and bold debates and quick discovery of national hidden entrepreneurial talents and untapped natural resources with common consensus to produce quality goods and services, the conventional economic behavior of global trade amongst majority of leading nations are like Netflix Series of political theatrics on self-inflicted trade wars, where populace ends up as losers. The post pandemic world now already filled with smoke screens and fog of wars, starting with vaccine related mysteries to other political agendas morphed into trade war sensationalism. Such declarations may swing polls but sink grassroots economies.

Come January 2021, the Economic Development leaderships of the world will suddenly awake like Rip Van Winkle; in the story by American author Washington Irving, first published in 1819. It follows a Dutch-American villager in colonial America named Rip Van Winkle who falls asleep in the Catskill Mountains and wakes up 20 years later, having missed the American Revolution.

That long deep sleep: what missed, if anything, the “humanization of grassroots prosperity” as hyperactive action of the last decade was mostly sleep walking, glued to globalization, cemented to fertilizing models of imbalanced inequalities, few decades of snoring wasted a lot, humanity suffered, surroundings destroyed and nature abused. The time to rethink reset and restart has arrived; sleep is over, the neglect obvious, damage visible and with no further proof required.

Advanced medicine and Covid-19 Vaccine will save lives; advanced global age thinking will save economies, economies put food on the table to save humankind in the end. Without occupationalism, desolation will fill up with populism, tribalism and chaos. The current landscapes speak volumes.

Study fast, fail fast, learn fast, catch up lost decades, become an expert in something but acquire mastery. Look in the mirror daily, seek truth, open mind, and always seek global solutions. Real global solutions work for all nations; bring harmony, selective solutions are for selected nations, creating global chaos

Pandemic Winds of Trade Wars: When nations have negative trade balances often due to lack of exports, due to lack of quality because quality of productivity caught in low skills production and lack of confidence to expand globally. The common sense economy surrenders to fabricated data to fit political agenda. Declarations of trade wars are hot topics for prime time shows, what leadership must show are the proofs of highly skilled citizenry capable of exportability.  The big question is how upskilled are the Public Sector Agencies on such affairs to deploy in simultaneous synchronization mobilization of entrepreneurialism on exportability in the first place.

No Upskilling = No Exports

Learn and identify new masters: Those shuffling paper trails are clerks; those executing paper trails are executives, those eliminating paper trails are digital masters, those guiding digital masters are new global age thinkers. The new un-learners are the new masters; deniers of change are slaves, slaves now replaced by robots. Futurism is workless, therefore, unlearning of freedom from the long-term job security concepts, and acquiring new skills for sand boxes to play. Entrepreneurialism is the way forward.

The twists of futurism demands clarity of understanding to avoid marching blindly

The Economy Issues: Avoid trade wars and explore what is the future of downtown offices, downtown towers, downtown retail and downtown economy? What is the economic endurance if reopening lingers another 12 months? What is the future of commercial real estate of developed nations and super expensive downtowns?  There are many new options to optimize such structural resources and create local exportability.

The Human Productivity Issues: Create extreme real value and not ‘value manipulations’. What is the future of unique productivity embedded in remote working and global access to sharper talents? What is the future of hierarchical boss management over flat and open talent pools with independent leadership? What kind of work models will survive and succeed and what models will fail but why? How to train massive sectors of displaced workers into supporting exportability?

Three Reasons: Connect globally and work locally. Study the power of ‘remote working’ and how billions displaced may never call back to work. Observe the productivity and efficiencies of remote working over cruelty of commuting. Notice the congested real-estate-centric financial model suffocating talent and productivity. The new world calls for world maps on every wall and new thinking to read the world.

Three Solutions: Downtown offices can become free boarding on education low cost housing. Downtown retail shops may change into low cost goods and services centers. Downtown may go dark and become green solar-lit sustainable highly affordable communities. How many new ideas will emerge and become pragmatic solutions?

Three Actions: Plan authoritative debates on city planning and expose global age realities. Conduct new programs on fast track learning before cores destroyed like Detroit. Diversity, tolerance and equality are the cements to hold before such turns into ghettos. How uplift women entrepreneurs on a national basis, how to provide them upskilling to stand up to global competition? How do you apply blueprints of national mobilization of entrepreneurialism on upskilling and exportability on digital platforms as new economic frontier in various regions? Start with bold debates.

Follow the trail of silence, as the old world is not yet ready to accept such revolutions, but you can.
