Jan 15-16 event to feature expert speakers and panelists of Indian origin from three continents.
American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin (ASEI) is hosting its 34th Annual National Convention virtually with the theme, ‘Sustainable Technology Innovations (STI-2022)’ on Jan 15 and 16.
The two-day event with three conferences will feature keynotes and multiple interactive sessions with prominent business and technology leaders, scientists, media personalities, educators, policy makers, and investment bankers, ASEI said in a press release.
Indian origin speakers include Supernal Flight Technology Head Dr Shreekant Agrawal, Astrox Corporation CEO Dr. Ajay Kothari, NASA Associate Administrator Dr Bhavya Lal, Indiaspora founder MR Rangaswami, Tekion CEO Jay Vijayan, Juniper Networks CTO Dr. Raj Yavatkar, Johnson Electric CIO Raman Mehta, Boeing Company CTO Dr. Naveed Hussain, and Dr Priti Parikh, Associate Professor, University College London.
“We are very excited about the convention with so many diverse expert speakers and panelists including outstanding people of Indian origin from three continents at the convention which can be joined by people from all over the world,” said ASEI President Piyush Malik.

The convention will start with its first event on Jan 15 at 11 am (EST)/8 am (PST) with an Aerospace Symposium, exploring trends and technologies around Space Tourism, Living on the Moon, Future of High-Speed Travel and Air Taxis.
The Jan 16 session starting at 11 am (EST)/8 am (PST) will feature a CXO Summit where the invited speakers will give talks on latest emerging trends, as well as the audience will be able to engage with them via CTO and CEO fireside chats and CIO panel.
There will be an innovation and sustainability panel with speakers from across three continents.
The convention will have multiple interactive sessions led by over 30 deep subject matter experts providing information and insight on many topics related to the convention.
The objective of this convention is to provide a forum to promote and share advancements related to latest cutting-edge innovations and technologies across various engineering disciplines focusing on the theme, the release said.

The convention is expected to be virtually attended by over 1000 professionals including scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders across the USA and globally.
Other speakers include former NASA Administrator Dr Michael D. Griffin, Supernal (Hyundai Urban Air Mobility) CEO Dr Jaiwon Shin,, Sandy Carter SVP of Unstoppable Domains (ex Amazon, Ex-IBM), Dr. David Livingston of The Space Show and Fremont Mayor Lily Mei.
There will be a Youth Technology Exposition (YTE) for young scientists and students from High School to Undergrad engineering during this virtual ASEI National Convention.
The objective of the YTE is to provide a forum for young engineers, students and budding scientists to showcase their projects in science, engineering and technology topics that can have an impact on our world.

Each participant will get a chance to speak while showing their work for a total of four minutes. The top five entries will be shortlisted as finalists for a live virtual presentation at ASEI National Convention on January 15.
The Convention will also announce the annual ASEI awards for following categories: ASEI Lifetime Achievement; ASEI Entrepreneur of the Year; ASEI Engineers/Scientists of Year; ASEI Service Excellence and ASEI Founder’s Award sponsored by family of ASEI Founder Hari Bindal.
The convention is virtual, free and open to all, but preregistration is required to get a zoom link.
